Craft Courses

(i) Roads Construction Craft Certificate Course (RBCC)

This program has been developed by the Kenya Institute Of Education in Conjunction with the Kenya National Examinations Council and KIHBT. The Course is exclusivey conducted and examined by KIHBT and Finally KNEC

This Course intends to equip the trainee with the necessary knowledge and attitudes, which will enable him or her to construct and maintain roads to acceptable standards . The trainees should be able to work and live in harmony within all road construction and maintenance site environments

Target Groups

The trainee entering this course should have any of the following minimum requirements:

  1. A pass in a relevant artisan course
  2. Passed Kenya Certificate Of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean Grade of D in English, Mathematics and Physical Sciences or Physics
  3. An Equivalent Qualification

This Course is tailored for potential and serving employees in roads construction or maintenance sites for both Public and Private sectors.

(ii) Craft Certificate Courses (DIT)

These programs have been developed by the Direcorate of Industrial Training (DIT) in the Ministry Of Labour and the Human Resources Department. The Courses intend to Train and provide skills to Craftsmen or women who will practically work diligently in their respective trades.

The Courses are offered at the Ngong Campus

Fees

Tuition and Boarding fees for all craft courses is Currently Kshs. 22,000 per term which is inclusive of taxes and student insurance cover. The fees are however reviewed from time to time
